Jalisco Honors Top Tourism Leaders

The State Government, through the Secretary of Tourism, celebrated the inaugural Lo Mejor de Jalisco 2025 (The Best of Jalisco 2025) Awards, a platform created with México Desconocido. The ceremony served to recognize the key players driving tourism success across the state and to highlight the sector’s significant growth throughout the year.

Notable accolades were awarded across the state, recognizing both cultural heritage and innovation. The Ballet Folclórico de Guadalajara earned the prize for Best Cultural Experience, while the Museo Cabañas was honored as the Best Contemporary Art Space. In gastronomy, awards went to Birriería Pelé for Sabor a Jalisco, and Bruna for Innovación al Plato, highlighting the state’s diverse culinary talent.

The positive news extended to the sector’s performance, with Secretary of Tourism Michelle Fridman confirming that Jalisco closed 2025 with a healthy 3% growth in visitor arrivals. This growth, achieved despite a challenging post-pandemic environment, was largely fueled by the success of the state’s Pueblos Mágicos. Overall, the state reported strong increases, including a 3% rise in tourism employment and a 3.5% jump in passenger movement.
