The Nayarit Fair 2025, themed “My Land is a Treasure,” kicked off its festivities with an extraordinary cultural event, featuring a stunning presentation of the Guelaguetza from Oaxaca. Held at the Papaloatl Cultural Forum, this grand opening performance featured nearly 500 artists from nine delegations, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Oaxaca through vibrant music, captivating dance, and time-honored traditions. This event marked the beginning of a fair that is currently underway.
During the event, the Secretary of Tourism presented Saymi Pineda Velasco, Oaxaca’s Secretary of Tourism, with a Nayarit artisan craft, recognizing their outstanding cultural contribution as the guest entity at the Nayarit Fair 2025. Additionally, Juana Hernández López, the Centéotl Goddess from the Mixteca region, and representatives from the various Oaxacan delegations were acknowledged for their invaluable participation in the emblematic Guelaguetza.
