Puerto Vallarta has been nominated in four categories for the 2026 Travvy Awards, adding another positive travel-industry signal for the destination as voting opens among U.S. travel advisors.
The official tourism board says Puerto Vallarta is competing for Best Destination, Mexico, Best Culinary Destination, Mexico, Best Tourism Board, Mexico, and Best Travel Agent Academy Program. The awards, presented by TravelPulse and AGENTatHOME Magazine, are scheduled to announce winners on November 5, 2026, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
For visitors, the nominations line up with the city’s strongest everyday draws: the oceanfront Puerto Vallarta Malecón, a mature restaurant scene, and a wide mix of beaches, culture, and outdoor activities among the top things to do in Puerto Vallarta. The tourism board also points to the PV Pro training platform, used to help travel advisors understand the destination’s neighborhoods, hotels, experiences, and logistics.
Puerto Vallarta previously won Travvy recognition in destination, culinary, and tourism-board categories, according to the official destination blog. The 2026 nominations keep the city visible with travel sellers during a busy summer and ahead of the fall awards season.
