As the official summer vacation period approaches, Puerto Vallarta is buzzing with excitement. Hotel reservations are already filling up, with bookings at 50% capacity. The local tourism sector is optimistic about a successful holiday season.
According to the Association of Hotels and Motels in the city, most reservations are from domestic travelers. However, there’s still a significant number of international visitors eager to enjoy this beach destination. Some establishments report bookings well over 50% for the summer months.
The official summer break, as per the SEP (Secretariat of Public Education) calendar, begins on July 16. Students will have a leisurely 35 days off before returning to classes in August. But even before the official break, schools often organize end-of-year events, contributing to the bustling tourist activity.
