Puerto Vallarta has deployed over 20 lifeguards to patrol its beaches; the increased safety measures are part of a joint effort between federal, state, and municipal authorities to ensure the well-being of visitors and residents alike.
The municipality is collaborating with the Regional Unit of Civil Protection and Firefighters of Jalisco, as well as the Mexican Navy. By pooling resources and coordinating efforts, authorities aim to provide comprehensive coverage and a rapid response in case of emergencies.
In addition to the 20 full-time lifeguards, the city has also enlisted the help of volunteers to further enhance beach safety. This combined effort will ensure that there are approximately 20 to 30 lifeguards on duty at all times during the holiday season.
