Puerto Vallarta commemorated National Flag Day with a solemn ceremony held at the Agustín Flores Contreras Stadium. The event was led by Mayor Luis Munguía and included representatives from the military, naval forces, the National Guard, city council members, government agencies, and local schools.
The ceremony featured the raising of the flag and the singing of the national anthem. Captain Edgar García Figueroa of the 41st Military Zone delivered a speech highlighting the importance of the flag, along with the national anthem and coat of arms, as symbols of Mexican national identity and unity.
A student from the “Las Américas” kindergarten recited a poem dedicated to the flag, and the song “Three-Colored Flag” was performed. Mayor Munguía then administered the oath to newly formed school flag escorts, presenting them with their flags. The military bugle call “3 de Diana” was played in honor of the attending schools, concluding the event.
