Puerto Vallarta will host the 4th Annual Chess Tournament on Saturday, June 27, 2026, giving local and visiting players a structured, family-friendly competition in the heart of the city.
The tournament is scheduled for CECATI 63 on Zaragoza Street in Centro, a practical location for anyone staying near downtown Puerto Vallarta or the Malecón. Doors open at 8:00 am, roll call runs from 8:30 to 9:30 am, and play begins at 9:45 am.
Organizers have set three mixed divisions: Under 12, Under 17, and Open. The total prize purse is 30,000 pesos. Registration is 300 pesos for the children’s and youth divisions and 450 pesos for the Open division after the early-registration period.

Participants should bring their own chess board, pieces, clock, and official identification.
