Summer vacation season has officially kicked off in Puerto Vallarta, and the city is witnessing a surge in tourist arrivals by land. The new Via Corta Guadalajara-Puerto Vallarta highway has significantly reduced travel time between the two cities, making it easier and faster for visitors from Guadalajara and surrounding regions to reach the popular beach destination.
The highway, which takes approximately 3 hours to travel, is attracting tourists not only from Guadalajara but also from the Bajío region, Michoacán, Zacatecas, San Luis Potosí, and central Mexico, all of which lie along the route to Puerto Vallarta.
