Puerto Vallarta held a vibrant display of civic pride, culture, and athleticism yesterday, celebrating the annual parade for the 115th Anniversary of the Mexican Revolution. The event began in the city center at 9:30 a.m. and brought together the community for a spectacular morning filled with patriotic fanfare.
The parade, which featured a slightly adjusted route this year due to construction, started its lively procession from the intersection of Ignacio L. Vallarta and Morelos, marching toward Jesús Langarica. Citizens eagerly gathered along the sidewalks and the Malecón to cheer on the colorful contingents.
The festivities opened on a heartwarming note with the participation of the DIF senior citizen clubs. The cultural, civic, and sporting procession included participation from 1,330 individuals representing various local schools, associations, and charros groups. Mayor Luis Munguía González and the City Council acknowledged the efforts from the honorary box at the municipal presidency, applauding the participants for their commitment to this rich Mexican tradition.
