The third annual Puerto Vallarta Cacao Festival will take place from March 6th to 9th, 2025, at the Terranoble Art & Healing Center. This year’s festival promises a rich exploration of cacao and its deep-rooted traditions in Mexican culture.
The festival will offer a diverse program of activities, including talks, workshops, handcrafted goods, food, and music, all centered around cacao. Attendees will discover the many facets of this versatile seed, from its culinary uses and cultural significance to its role in family, community, medicine, biodiversity, and life itself.
A highlight of the festival will be the presence of special guests Efrén Hernández Maldonado, Edilberto Díaz Cruz, and Chonita Murillo. These respected elders will share their knowledge of Mayan traditions and the sacred connection between the Mayan people and cacao.
