Jalisco Governor Pablo Lemus Navarro announced that 76 new buses will be arriving on Friday, February 7th.
While the buses require additional outfitting, such as air conditioning and branding, they are expected to be in service by February 17th. This latest development is part of a broader plan to modernize the city’s public transportation system and improve the overall travel experience for residents and visitors alike.
Governor Lemus highlighted that while these new buses represent an immediate solution to address the current shortage of public transportation, the long-term vision is to introduce a fully electric bus system on the Francisco Medina Ascencio Avenue, one of the city’s major thoroughfares. This ambitious project is expected to be completed by October of this year.
