Puerto Vallarta is solidifying its reputation as a premier destination for the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and romance sectors. A standout leader in this growth is the Hilton Vallarta Riviera All-Inclusive Resort, which recently hosted a massive “buyout” for a 700-person U.S. corporate group—the largest of its kind in the region this February. With over 4,800 square feet of versatile meeting space and a ballroom capable of hosting 1,100 people, the resort is a key player in a city that now offers more than 22,500 hotel rooms and 480,000 square feet of event space.
The “Romance” segment is equally booming. The resort has already secured over 40 weddings for 2026 and is actively booking into 2027. To cater to international couples, they launched the “Love at First Stay” program, allowing couples to preview the venue and meet planners for a $500 USD credit. Popular spots include the 7th-floor Sky Bar for intimate sunset ceremonies and a beach club that can accommodate up to 700 guests. This trend is bolstered by the resort’s southern location, known for having some of the most scenic beaches and whale-watching opportunities directly from private balconies.
Looking ahead, the hospitality industry is already preparing for the FIFA World Cup 2026. With Guadalajara serving as a host city, the Hilton and other Vallarta resorts are negotiating cross-promotions to draw soccer fans to the coast—just a three-hour drive away—after the matches. To keep the momentum going, the Hilton recently unveiled a completely renovated family pool and is offering a “Kids & Teens Stay Free” promotion for summer stays, provided they are booked by March 30, 2026.
