A new regional tourist map is being distributed to help travelers connect Puerto Vallarta with three of Jalisco’s nearby Magical Towns: San Sebastián del Oeste, Mascota, and Talpa de Allende. The “Puerto Vallarta-Pueblos Mágicos” map gives visitors a practical way to plan a coast-to-mountain itinerary instead of treating each stop as a separate trip.
Local reports say the first stage includes 10,000 printed maps, plus a digital version available by QR code. The guide highlights points of interest, street names, public transportation routes, festivities, services, and suggested routes. It is already being distributed in Puerto Vallarta, Guadalajara, and the participating towns, with tourist information modules and fairs also listed as distribution points.
For visitors, the map is useful because the region offers very different experiences within a few hours of the beach. Travelers can pair Puerto Vallarta’s coastline with the mountain history of San Sebastián del Oeste, the nature and raicilla culture of Mascota, and Talpa de Allende’s religious and cultural traditions. It also supports a broader visitor habit: using a beach vacation as a base for day trips, overnight loops, and regional food and culture routes.
The project was presented as a collaboration among Puerto Vallarta tourism officials, the participating Magical Towns, the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust, local businesses, and civil associations. One notable detail is space for the Puerto Vallarta and Banderas Bay altruistic network, giving community organizations visibility alongside the travel information.
PuertoVallarta.net will keep watching for the public digital version and recommended pickup points. In the meantime, travelers planning regional routes can start with the site’s broader Puerto Vallarta maps and confirmed town guides before deciding whether to make a quick excursion or a longer Sierra itinerary.
