Two secluded beaches in Cabo Corrientes, just south of Puerto Vallarta, have been recognized as among Mexico’s top 16 beaches by Lonely Planet.
Yelapa and Playa Caballo, both located in the southern part of the Puerto Vallarta region, offer stunning natural beauty and a tranquil escape from the crowds. Yelapa is a secluded bay surrounded by lush vegetation, while Playa Caballo is a hidden gem with striking blue waters and towering palm trees.
Both beaches offer a variety of activities, including swimming, snorkeling, diving, kayaking, paragliding, parasailing, and sport fishing. Their pristine waters and peaceful atmosphere make them ideal for relaxation and adventure.
To reach Yelapa, visitors can take a 45-minute boat ride from Puerto Vallarta or Boca de Tomatlán. Playa Caballo is accessible by boat from Boca de Tomatlán and a short walk.
