The long-awaited renovation of Boulevard Francisco Medina Ascencio in Puerto Vallarta is nearing completion. According to José María Goya, Construction Director of the State Secretariat of Infrastructure and Public Works, only 60 meters of the over five-kilometer stretch of road remain to be finished.
“The pavement is practically 90% complete, with only 60 meters left near the sports complex,” Goya explained. “We still have 290 meters of sidewalks and around 600 meters of the bike path to finish. With that, we expect to conclude in approximately three to four weeks.”
These works began four years ago in August 2020, with a total cost of 50 million pesos, funded by the municipality and the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust. State and municipal authorities conducted an inspection of the ongoing project on Friday.
