Puerto Vallarta’s maritime terminal saw a flurry of activity this past Wednesday, January 21, as it welcomed its second triple cruise arrival of the year. Three massive luxury vessels—the Norwegian Bliss, the MS Seven Seas Grandeur, and the Norwegian Jade—docked simultaneously, bringing thousands of international tourists to the city’s shores. These visitors spent the day exploring the local beaches, enjoying world-class dining, and experiencing the unique hospitality of Mexico’s most traditional port.
The arrivals began early in the morning, with the Norwegian Bliss docking at 5:00 a.m., followed by the Seven Seas Grandeur at 6:15 a.m., and the Norwegian Jade at 7:30 a.m. This coordinated docking allowed passengers to maximize their time on land before the ships began their scheduled departures in the afternoon and evening. This successful “triple header” follows the first similar event on January 6, signaling a very strong start to the winter tourism season.
January is proving to be a record-breaking month for the city, with a total of 24 cruise ships scheduled to visit. Looking ahead at the rest of 2026, port authorities anticipate more than 170 arrivals throughout the year. This growth builds on the momentum of 2025, a year in which 171 cruises brought over half a million passengers and generated an economic impact exceeding 1.2 billion pesos for the region.
