The beautiful coastal city of Puerto Vallarta recently hosted the 28th Annual Congress of Shipping Agents organized by the Mexican Association of Shipping Agents (AMANAC). The event brought together over 250 key players in the maritime and port sectors to strengthen Mexico’s foreign trade.
Held at the Sheraton Buganvilias hotel from October 2nd to 5th, the congress provided a platform for industry professionals to discuss the latest trends and challenges in the maritime industry. The event was officially inaugurated by Alejandro Malagón, president of the Confederation of Industrial Chambers (CONCAMIN), who emphasized the importance of intersectoral collaboration in boosting Mexico’s foreign trade.
Fernando Con y Ledesma, president of AMANAC, highlighted the significance of the congress as a platform for dialogue between industry stakeholders and the government. He also announced the creation of the AMANAC Institute, aimed at training highly qualified professionals to meet the growing demands of the global maritime industry.
