Puerto Vallarta is set to host a unique open-water swimming event on December 7th, 2024. The “Vuelta a la Bahía de Banderas en Equipos” (Swim Across Banderas Bay in Teams) will bring together top athletes to swim across the stunning bay, raising funds for marine conservation.
The event will feature six teams, each led by a renowned open-water swimmer. The teams will tackle different sections of the bay, from Puerto Vallarta to La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Punta de Mita, Chimo, Yelapa, and Boca de Tomatlán.
This event is more than just a sporting competition. It aims to raise awareness and funds for marine conservation efforts, including protecting humpback whales and cleaning up marine debris.
