Puerto Vallarta is set to host its 13th annual pride celebration from May 17 to May 24, 2026, under the evocative theme “A New Era: A Very Mexican Pride” (Un Pride Muy Mexicano). This year’s festivities aim to blend the city’s international reputation as a premier LGBTQ+ destination confronting modern challenges while celebrating deep-rooted Mexican traditions.
As part of the Vallarta Pride 2026 festivities, a March Against Homophobia will take place on the festival’s opening day to promote respect, visibility, and freedom. Under this year’s theme, “Un Pride Muy Mexicano” (A Very Mexican Pride), the event serves as a call for unity and continued progress toward equality. This 13th edition of the festival highlights the spirit, traditions, and creativity that make Mexico unique, further strengthening Puerto Vallarta’s reputation as a premier global destination where diversity is celebrated year-round.
The march is scheduled for Sunday, May 17, 2026. Participants are invited to gather at the starting point at 5:00 PM, with the official procession beginning at 6:00 PM. The route will start at the Sheraton Buganvilias and conclude at the iconic Los Arcos del Malecón. This event kicks off a week-long celebration in the Zona Romántica that will include art exhibitions, concerts, and high-energy gatherings at venues like Mantamar Beach Club and Almar Resort.
