Puerto Vallarta is one of the most romantic places on Earth. There’s nothing like watching the sunset over the ocean while witnessing the magical colors shimmering off of the windows of every house in town, as well as the waters of Banderas Bay.

Frequently asked questions
Yes. Foreigners can marry in a civil ceremony at Puerto Vallarta’s Civil Registry. You’ll need, among other things, valid passports and proof of legal stay, birth certificates apostilled and translated into Spanish by an authorized translator, blood tests done within 15 days of the wedding, a premarital course and two witnesses. Because of the paperwork, some couples marry legally at home and hold a symbolic ceremony in Puerto Vallarta.
November through April offers the most reliable weather for outdoor ceremonies. Book early for December and Easter.
