Puerto Vallarta’s Downtown is set for a revitalization with the launch of the “Fachada Vallartense” project. This initiative aims to transform the area’s visual identity through the enforcement of existing Image and Identity Regulations, particularly the 2018 reform. The project seeks to harmonize and integrate the urban landscape using traditional elements, enhancing the district’s significance and attracting visitors.
The project’s success hinges on community involvement. A public awareness campaign will be launched under the slogan “Your Facade Represents You,” emphasizing the importance of resident participation. Officials will proactively target neglected properties, offering support and guidance. A partnership with Benjamin Moore, a paint company, will provide much-needed assistance. The company will generously donate paint and offer expert advice on a per-property basis.
“Fachada Vallartense” goes beyond aesthetics; it aims to revitalize the Historic Center’s cultural significance and boost tourism. The project aligns with the city’s efforts to preserve its heritage and promote its unique identity.
