On Saturday, March 21, 2026, hundreds of cyclists will take to the streets for the seventh annual Tourist Route Puerto Vallarta. This inclusive long-distance cycling event is designed for both road and mountain bikers, offering three distinct distances that cater to all fitness levels. All participants will begin and end their journey at the Puerto Mágico facilities, with the first wave of riders departing at 7:00 AM.
Riders can choose their challenge based on three color-coded routes:
- Green Route (21K): A beginner-friendly circuit from Puerto Mágico to the Las Juntas traffic overpass, just north of the International Airport.
- Black Route (72K): An intermediate course extending through Nuevo Vallarta and ending at La Manzanilla Beach in Nayarit before heading back.
- Red Route (100K): The premier “Gran Fondo” distance, challenging advanced riders with a scenic journey all the way to the pristine beaches of Punta de Mita and back.
Participants who register will receive an official kit, which traditionally includes a commemorative jersey, medal, and entry into a raffle for high-end prizes, such as a Trek bicycle. Kit pickup is scheduled for Friday, March 20, at the central courtyard of Puerto Mágico. More than just a race, the Ruta Turística is a celebration of the region’s natural beauty and the growing cycling community in the Banderas Bay area.
