From March 10 to 12, 2026, Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit are hosting the 31st edition of Gala Puerto Vallarta–Riviera Nayarit, the most significant tourism business forum in the Mexican Pacific. Held at the Puerto Vallarta International Convention Center, the event has brought together more than 750 industry professionals from over 10 countries. With over 5,000 business meetings scheduled, the gala serves as a strategic engine for closing contracts that will define hotel occupancy and tourism growth for the upcoming 2026–2027 seasons.
Authorities from both Jalisco and Nayarit used the opening day to project a message of total normalcy and strength. Michelle Fridman Hirsch, Jalisco’s Secretary of Tourism, emphasized that the region’s infrastructure—including the international airport and the iconic Malecón—is operating at 100% capacity. Meanwhile, Nayarit’s Tourism Secretary, Juan Enrique Suárez del Real, highlighted that the region is evolving beyond “sun and beach,” showcasing a robust pipeline of luxury investments and new attractions like the Ludo show at Vidanta World, which hosted the event’s welcome cocktail.
The event is particularly crucial this year as a platform to reassure international wholesalers of the region’s stability following brief security concerns in late February. By having hundreds of travel agents and creators walk the streets of the Historic Center and the Romantic Zone, the Gala aims to turn industry partners into direct witnesses of the city’s vibrant and safe atmosphere. This unified “two-state, one-destination” approach continues to position Banderas Bay as one of the most competitive and diverse tourism corridors in North America.
