The Vallarta ArtWalk opens its 2026-2027 season on Wednesday, October 28, and runs every Wednesday evening from 6 to 10 pm through May 26, 2027, in Puerto Vallarta’s Centro Histórico. The organizers’ official site and BanderasNews both confirm the dates.
The idea is simple, and it has worked downtown since 1996: the participating galleries stay open late, and you wander from one to the next along the cobblestone streets, looking at paintings, sculpture and ceramics and meeting some of the artists. There’s no ticket, no registration and no set starting point, so you can see two galleries or a dozen. Names on the official gallery list include Galería de Ollas, THE LOFT Galería, Colectika and Galería Omar Alonso.
How to plan your Wednesday
Pick up the official ArtWalk map at any participating gallery, or download it from VallartaArtWalk.com. BanderasNews adds that free printed brochures with gallery profiles and route maps are handed out at local hotels and businesses. All the galleries are in the downtown core, so the whole thing works as a relaxed evening stroll. The Malecón is part of the same historic center, which makes the sculptures on the Malecón an easy detour.
Can’t make it on a Wednesday? The organizers say most participating galleries keep regular business hours during the week, so you can go back for that piece you keep thinking about.
