Hello, my name is Randy, I am a PV addict.
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
I just came back from PV on Saturday and feel sad that my vacation was not longer. (First time there) I met so many good people and have nothing but good reports of my vacation. We stayed at the Marriot and the staff was the friendliest I had ever encountered. Our trip started with Olympus staff meeting us at the airport and Uzuell was very generous and even offered to show us around PV after he got out of work.
As I got on the plane, I felt sad that I was leaving as I was already attached to some of the people. I made good friends, had good food, and overall I am now hooked.
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
Hello, my name is Matt. I am not a PV addict. I mean, I just go for fun. Really! ...I could stop going anytime, if I wanted to.
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
Hi Grace,
The only way to overcome the PV departure blues is to start planing your next trip, even if it will be many months away :-)

Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
I must admit that both my husband and I are addicts.....just came back in May and are booked for October! The shameful thing that I hate to admit is we took nine family member including our two grandkids and now THEY ARE ALL ADDICTS. i guess I am a bad person, but it is SOOO GREAT.
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
ah, so good to be among friends. i thought i was alone. my name is melissa and i am a pv addict.
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
We will be down there in January also, from the 2nd through the 9th, staying at Mayan Palace at the Marina. But the main purpose of that trip is to furnish our new condo which we should be closing on in December. If anyone is around, we would be glad to host a celebratory housewarming. Cannot possibly say how excited we are.
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
BRIAN!!! Of course I have stayed at Paradise Village...remember my trip report from May...I have a timeshare there...we go every year at least once if not twice...I love it!!
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
my apologies senor. as soon as i posted it i remembered that you go there. we really enjoyed our stay there. it sure has grown up in the past couple years. connor really loves the croc waterslide.

Well, Melis: we have to do something to keep us from being bored to tears in Southern Ontario, aye?
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
Not just you my friend, our addiction is spreading, 1800 + members and counting.
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
i know what you are saying Melis. 3000 miles to the WET COAST of Canada. It is miserable in Vancouver right now. it is warm out, but drizzling rain yuk.. how i dream to have my lovely wife slapping some spf 4 on my back. An ice cold Corona by my side, and the sound of the surf pounding the shore while on a mid night stroll.

wow Smitty. 1800 members with the same pvitis addiction.
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!

thx Melis. It came from the heart. lol.
Being from London, Ont. you must really be missing P.V. by now.
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
I think Jen should be thrilled she has a man who loves to cook!
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
MM, same boat here, my wife Kay cannot cook to save her life. It truely is a major threat if she decides she is going to cook something. Yes you read it right, threat...NOT treat.
<:((()))~
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
Trust me Chinook she is happy about that. lol ((0))
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
Hi Tracy. P.V. is alot like Canada. I live in Vancouver. Lets see. Vancouver is on the Pacific ocean and so is P.V. I guess that is were the comparison ends. Like Chuck said, there is no way that you will get bored inP.V.. This b.b. is so full of information there is no way you can go through it all. Take care, Bryan
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
Tracy, #1 on your TO AVOID list - anyone that offers you free anything - quite simply its a time share hook. They work everywhere from the airport , more obvious on the street , your hotel, restaurants and even the grocery stores. A simple \"no gracias\" can save a lot of hassle and annoyance.
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
Hate to have such a negative last posting....the sunsets and sunrises in PV are free, the smell of the ocean and jungle are free, seeing whales or dolphins in the bay is free, the goodwill offered by the natives of PV are free, your memories of PV will be priceless !
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
My name is Leslie and I too am a PV addict.
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
Hola Leslie
<:((()))~
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
hello Leslie. Welcome aboard.
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
I agree with everyone here, I am a total pv addict, I have been 3 times this year, just returned nov 22 and am on a plane already on Jan 10th, and then we will probably move there in April. We have made to many friends there to stay away much longer. What a wonderful, wonderful place.
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
Welcome aboard Tim. I know how you feel. I am from White Rock, B.C.
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
I got it bad, real bad....It is sooooo addictive, I realized it about 1 day into the trip, my wife would find me sitting motionless in a daze on our patio staring out over the bay, she would try and bring me back with a question...and get nothing but a \"huh\" for a reply. I would have all the obvious indicators....a smile that wouldnt go away, the urge to talk to everyone i came in contact with, repetative speech \"I could really see us living here\" atleast 5 times a day. The worst part of PV Addiction is the Cold Turkey withdrawl...when the wheels lift off the runway.....CRY
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
Budweiser we all feel your anguish - just think when you are truly hooked and there is no coming back - your new name will be Pacifico or Corona or even Sol !
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
You will be alright Bud. Another 5 trips and you will not ever want to go home again. Smitty is right. It happened to us. SOL is in our email address now.
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
i miss p.v....i wish i was going this year... :(
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
I, too, feel a need to return often to P.V.
Those who have been hassled in restaurants must be going to the wrong places.
We have a list of wonderful places that we go to year after year and have never
been approached by timeshare while eating.
You do need to just say NO.
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!

Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
I just spent 7 WONDERFUL days in PV March 9th-16th. It is so true!!! I am addicted. What a great place, great food, great people and great MARGARITAS!
I am Piedra and I am a PV Addict
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
I think Smitty They will be there with smiles on their faces and ready for Fun!
You are right PV is very addictive.
Why ?
Many beautiful places to travel to around the world to visit.
But it seems that if you have been to PV once there is a draw to bring you back.
I love especially the people . The beautiful smiles. I love the word Hola. Became my fav. word while in Mexico.(well maybe because that is one of the few words I know LOL)
The sounds and smells of the City and Country side.
The Smell and Sound of the Ocean.
The sweets. mmm
The People
The vendors selling their goods.
The Food
The friends we have made
The People
The Music
and on and on and on
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!
Hola , Hola , Hola , Hola :) Will be very happy to say these words to my friends in PV . :)
Re:Beware of the PVR addiction!

It is an odd addiction. By that I mean it is also contagious. We have seemed to pass it on to friends and family alike. Does that make us..(gasp) PV trafficos?
Traficantes , you bet. We have sent so many refered travelers to PV that our travel agent no longer charges a fee for our bookings. 8)
Such A Lovely Place
Mirrors on the ceiling
Pink champagne on ice
And she said
We are all just prisoners here
Of our own device ....

Such a lovely place
Such a lovely place

Help ! I need some PV ... even The Eagles are singing about her . :)
\"Hotel California\"...but the verses describe PV also.
Silly in 2006
Yes , listening to Hotel California brings to mind PV . Another song that always makes me smile and think of PV is , Mexican Radio by Wall Of Voodoo. These 2 lines always stick with me :

I wish I was in Tijuana,
Eating barbequed iguana .

Maybe we should change that to read :

I wish I was in Vallarta ,
For the new year to starta ! :)
Dude! forgot about that one. I used to love to hear that come on the radio and I think they had a video on MTV way back when I actually watched that crap. :-X(
Funny
Miss the TS guys?!! Wow, can anyone ever do that?

Funny post,

Mogens

We live in Elkader(Clayton County), up in the NE corner(the hilly area)! We are about 20 miles from the Mississippi. I was suprised to see that Hawkeye when I first found this 4M!!
Tha addiction is alive and well. Invasion 2007 cannot come soon enough.
Tha addiction is alive and well. Invasion 2007 cannot come soon enough. I hear you there MM.... it is time to get back down there, and not come back...

party on everybody...  8)
Hey Tom, is it just me or does the countdown to Invasion 2007 seem to be going really slow?
I for one am still really excited about it Im gonna work my butt off all summer so it will be a holiday never forgotten.

Plus if my bombers don\"t come through then Im gonna need the cash for all the rounds of booze I will be buying. :D
With all the positive talk about the GCP i was going to stay there on my next trip. However they have the no children rule in effect, so i am really thinking about staying at the Crown Paradise Club Resort next door. So what should we expect at this resort? Chuck and Tom&Lorrie and anyone else your expertise is required. Thx
Thanks guys. Connor will have a great time for sure. That is what i want the most. He has had a rough last year and a half with the break up, so i want to really get him involved. He is so excited about being able to swim with the dolphins, and parasailing. ( Is there a minimum age for parasailing? ) My mom and dad are coming down. This will be there first ever trip to Mexico. So i guess i will be the tour guide as well. With all the ex military types going down, dad should have no trouble getting involved and swapping stories. Fun, fun, fun in Feb. 2007
not being nosey
This is just my opnion mm2 I think its wonderfull how you put your son first expecially in what has happened in the last while he will grow up knowing his father loves him very much good job.
OMG i thought it was just me....i am glad i was wrong.....i came home from vacation and i think i left my heart and mind there.....so i did it i am now booking another vacation just shy of four months of being home.....i am also in the process of convincing my husband to move there...but for now vacation will have to do......cheers
Your plans and ideas should work Jimbo.. I Had a good laugh when I opened the thread this morning... :)
