Norm and dodi (aka mom and dad) said I could share this here.they were staying in bucerias for 7 nights and one day they were sitting in the plaza waiting for all there friends to arrive and there was a timeshare dude giving his speel to this guy and his wife was a little ways away not taking part of it.The dude was telling him what time they would pick him up and the guy said the clocks change and the dude said no so he looked over at my parents and said the clocks change tonight right and dodi said yes.The wife of this guy then came over to my parents and they started to talk and she said she couldnt beleive her husband was doing this he should know better they have been coming there for the last 8 years.So they were talking about the pressure they put you under when you go because my parents had just done the mayan one a couple days before.The women looked at her watch and called to her husband that they had to get going because there company would be there soon.So they left without booking the appointment.And this is where all hell breaks loose.
This timeshare guy proceeds to come up to norm and dodi and starts screaming at dodi that she cost him 400 dollars and that she needs to remember she is a visitor in his country.The names and words he used at her are untypeable here lets just say they were the worst.Which set norm off and he stood up and he is by no means a small man and the two of them started to get pretty loud so my mom grabbed my dads hand and said its not worth it we didnt do anything and were sorry if you feel we did what is it you want from us.The guy argued that it wasnt a timeshare so norm said okay I will give you 50 dollars and I will go but at the end of it if its not a timeshare you keep the money but if it is you give me 250. The guy stormed off.So they kept sitting there waiting still for there friends to show and within 10mins they were totally surrounded by policia and trucks 8 cops in total and this guy with them.3 cops in front 1 on each side and 3 behind them.The guy was freaking out and talking spanish and finally my mom said what are you doing I dont understand what your saying he says I am interpretting dodi says no your pointing at me and showing that I was writing and I never wrote a thing your telling lies well that just set him off even more and he whipped a piece of paper out of his pocket and pushed it in her face and said the goverment gave me this I have every right to do this and you need to respect at this point my dad once again was ready to pounce and she grabbed him and said not worth it.So my mom very politley at this point said we have been coming to mexico for 30 years I have friends who are mexican and I have all the respect in the world for mexico and them but not you sir we apologized we asked what you wanted and now I am done with this and turned to my dad and said lets go and the policia slightly moved so they could walk away.They were about a block away and could still hear him yelling at the cops.They said the cops really just kinda stood there and didnt do much.The next day they walked by this guy and he asked if they wanted to come in for a drink (How dod you not recognize the ppl you sick the police on the very next day).
My parents were really angry at the time but did not let it ruin there vacation and norm says he will never forgot that timeshareshark.Jeff if you read this norm says to tell you he beat you with the cops because he had 8 around him.Not this is a laughing matter but you have to shrug it off otherwise you would never go back.They beleive that once the police saw it was an old couple thats why they became relaxed.I am not going to say which establishment this guy is from because I dont think that is fair but just a warning if you see someone getting the speel dont talk to there wife.
