two major problems

two major problems

well here goes

wanted a better defragger
so i downloaded one and set it up
it went into the boot mode
waited about half hour or so
tried canceling
pushed the reset button
rebooted says falta some file
googled on another compute
and tried everything to recover
the 80 gig drive properties registered 0 bytes
so lost all hard fun archives and programs
bought another 80 gig hd
start all over

a lot of freebees are gone

while in the process of trying to recuperate
i hooked the laptop to run both laptop monitor and the pc monitor
i unplugged the pc monitor
the laptop monitor has a huge white line(three inches or so) vertically on the left side
blocking all the desktop icons and start button
googled this problem
and say the monitor is damaged

so it made my day

great thought
when i ran the bad harddrive as a slave
the compute didn´t reconize the drive
opened properties
read as empty
was not even able to formate it either

I was wondering what happened to Chico.......moved, sick, or any number of possibly bad things but lo and behold, Chico is alive and well although stuck in cyberspace without a paddle.
