Is the 4th of July something special???? It may be in the USA, but remember you are in Mexico... Just like Thanksgiving is an American tradition with Turkey, potatoes and gravy, stuffing etc... but again when you are in Mexico, respect their time, their culture, their holidays versus trying to change them to do ours because we are visiting there.... jmho

Mexicans and fireworks ? Pretty safe to say there are fireworks 365 days a year in PV . Mexicans love fireworks as much as Canadians like hockey or Americans the NFL . You will be in heaven (literally if you hold onto the Mexican fireworks ) on July 4th if you want to light some fireworks .
Tom - have to call you on Thanksgiving being a US tradition - your northern friends put on a pretty good spread also ! :) I understand what you are saying and agree that US Thanksgiving is something very special .
