Any one driving to PVR through Laredo, TX in October?

Any one from USA or Canada driving to PVR through Laredo, TX during the month of October?

Neither one. I am driving down and I was wondering if someone else was doing it so that we can follow each other for safety reasons

Yes,....estimating Oct 4-5,...leave Laredo early am,...motel one night?,...but flexible. I read that the drug gangs are doing road blocks in the Monterrey area,...however, the main road should be good during daylight hours.
