at the emperador there are a few table and chairs reserved for hotel guest. they are right along side the walkway. if you sit at the larger tables closer to the beach you arer obligated to buy something to eat at the lazy lizard restaurant.there is a is an area of beach just south of the emperador with no tables,chairs or hotels where you can bring your cooler and lay on a towel.jennybeans suggestion is your best option. fidencios beer is cheap,great location. you could get there early and have breakfast, take a swim and then a cold one.(ot two)

from someone who drinks very little at night but copiously in the daytime...there is nothing to prevent you and a cooler of beer from hanging out at the beach...but remember, buy some fruit and some shrimp from the beach vendors !

I have 64 days (not counting) until i am sipping a drink on the beach or at CYC. We love happy hour and the sunsets!
