mykul,
I am not sure that water taxis will work for you guys. The water taxis run on a specific schedule and to get 50 people out and back it would take at least 3 taxis or 3 trips back and forth. Since they have schedules they run on from point A to point B I am not sure that they will be able to accomodate that many people.

If you want me to I can check with my captain and see if he knows of a boat that can hold that many people that you could rent for a few hours and what the cost would be.
That would be awesome Kat.
Thanks!
The panga dude said for 50 ppl you would better rent 3 of them
Hmmmm yeah what she said, LOL.

Depending on where your villa is Boca could also raise the need to get 50 people down there and back by taxi. There are other locations that may be closer depending on where your condo is.
Thanks everyone!
Really appreciate your time in helping with some of the details.
Renting 3 of the Pangas sounds like a great deal to me.
The villa we are renting is up the hill in old town. So I was initially thinking to grab the water taxis from the pier. Would this work?
Mykul,
They are boarding the pangas from the beach right next to the pier. Yes, you will have to take your shoes off but if you are all going to spend the day on the beach it should not be a problem for you. It just depends on how you want to do it, keep in mind if your entire party is going on the boats you will more than likely not all be able to get on one bus (depending on the time of day you go). So that would mean some are waiting at Boca while the rest of your group is waiting for a bus.

My suggestion would be, if you can arrange it, to take a run down to Boca when you get into town and see if you can arrange for 3 water taxis that are not running a regular schedule and reserve them for your party. If you just show up it might mean a longer delay trying to get all of you on the boats.

People think it is easy to just show up and get a boat but with a group as big as yours you have an entirely different situation than the tourist that walks up and wants to grab a boat. Trust me when I say with that many people and that many boats involved you are going to have to have some type of reservation/arrangement before you just show up.
Mykul,

Mykul,
It sounds like you guys have a really good handle on the entire celebration. What a great way for your families to get to know each other and the language barrier can be fun at times and make for some good laughs between everyone. I think it will work out just great!.
you could also just bus everyone to boca and hang there. nice beach with cantinas, who would sure love 50 people coming for a visit.
Thanks Benito,

We have thought of doing a day trip to one of the local beaches as well.
My gal and I land in Mexico 3 weeks before the wedding and will start planning a little more formally once we get a better idea of what everyone would like to do.
