Cold in Alberta today...snow storm last night.. Quite the shock to the system after spending time in Hot Mexico... :x Our tans look out of place...
Hear with wind chill it is going to be minus 50 celcius in Saskatoon Sask..
Now that is a little chilly.. Maybe I do not want to move back there... :P
Are we all dreaming of warm..hot places.. :)

Joyce....it is just d**n cold!!! I should be baking cookies or doing something!!! My girlfriend and I are very busy sitting on the couch, watching movies, eatin anything unhealthy we can find!

When are you going to be in PV this winter? I am planning on staying in old Vallarta this year and would love to meet at the RIGHT bar this year....lol!!!

Environment Canada has issued a wind chill warning for the city as winds gusting about 20 km/h make the air feel like a numbing -49 C this morning.

Winnipeg School Division buses were cancelled due to the extreme cold, as well as many daycares and clubs across the province.

While the temperature hovered around -36 C this morning, it is set to rise to -26 C before the day is through.

But tonight the extreme cold will carry on, with a low of -34 C and wind that makes it feel like -43 C.

Thursday should continue the cold spell with a sunny -25 C high.

Friday is still set to warm up to a relatively balmly high of -17 C.

Mother Nature could finally smile down on the city over the weekend, though, which could lead to a welcome high of 2 C on Sunday, if the forecast holds true. ( and look at this SylviaA...Not fair... day after you leave it warms up :x :P )

When we were waiting at the PV airport last weekend I overheard a conversation by a couple heading back to Winnipeg . They said they had stored their parkas / winter boots at the Winnipeg airport - in anticipation of a very frosty return . Why lug it if you can store it ?

I heard a cute question from a little girl to her dad on the flight down . While we were waiting for de-icing the girl ( about 4 or 5) asked her dad , \"Daddy are there snakes on this plane ? \" He reassured her that was just in a movie and there were no snakes aboard . :)

Got back from PV last night and drove home arriving at 3 a.m. Soooooo CCCCCCccccccold... looks like the thermometer froze.

-36 with 35 k wind.... (at home not in PV)...

On Wednesday (21st) night it drizzled... very, very, very, light rain... really small drops... waiter said that never happens.

Toronto is -2 celsius but our snow is almost all melted off . Spring is soon to arrive - I hope ! :)

You know, I can handle the cold as long as its sunny out. Except we have an older gentleman that lives across the street and he sits in his front window without a shirt (to get his vit. D I guess).

30 degrees today, summer is on its way back and soon we will be moaning about how its 50 degrees at lunchtime. Yes thats celsius. Maybe this summer will be the last one we spend in the middle east and move to PV for a change of pace :)

I guess if we had summer, it was those three days back in June. Our furnace has been running at least once or twice each week all summer. Lots of rain... everyday... at least there is no forest fire threat this year with all this wet stuff.

I worry about mold though. So many people have colds and some kinds of flu.. The clinic is not taking any tests as a routine anymore. Kleenex seems to be flying off the shelves.

:shock: We had some of that stuff too but it is melting...more on the way though :P

It has rained here pretty much everyday for the last couple of weeks. Not benefiting anybody... even the ducks are gone.

Got to a balmy 36 degree f. here in the great Illinois corn desert of America. We have been in a cold spell since Dec. 1st and not going to end until spring. Hey Mr. Gore where is this global warming you keep promising me? just kidding. We leave in two weeks for sunshine, cerveza, tranquility, and good times. Hope everyone has a very merry christmas and try to stay warm with loved ones and family.

Maybe Santa will bring some of these for all of my snowbound friends !
