O.K. no one was really close but I thought it would be fun to get you thinking. So here is the answer:

Wednesday morning I was reading my local newspaper ( finally got a break from traveling for a couple of weeks) and I saw this ad. The colors design, etc. caught my eye. To my surprise it was the first I have seen of an ad for Gigante in my newspaper.

I knew of two stores but those two have now grown to nine and one is pretty darn close to my house. The design and style of the ad is the same as you see in PV.

They also have fresh hot tortillas, so between the tortillas and pollo rostizado I am definitely there. :P

Do I dare think their bakery is the same too?

We have a ton of mexican markets here too, more like smaller tiendas, the one I used to go get my carne asada preparado from closed down but there are a couple of others within a mile or so of my house. But the Gigante ad just took be back to PV.

Smitty I do find those resturants once in a while in my travels. I just found one on my last contract in Ohio. It was a family run resturant and they were all from Guadalajara and Tonala. The first night I went in I answered the waiter in Spanish when he asked me if I wanted something to drink. I think I shocked the heck out of him, seems like most of the people in Ohio do not speak Spanish. I got to know them quite well while I was there and it did not take them long to automatically say, \"Are you ready for your marguerita\" as soon as I sat down, even in the middle of a snowstorm. :D
