Learning BASIC Spanish while in PV

I plan on spending 4 weeks in PV Mid Dec to Mid Jan 2013, we are staying at the San Marino Hotel, have checked out some of the Spanish courses in PV which seem extremely expensive, and time consuming, like I simply want to know how to communicate better in Spanish, not write a book! willing to volunteer whatever........
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Most of the Spanish classes are pretty structured and they are geared more to living there.

It is a good online program. You hear the words spoken, use them in a sentence, and you have the option to buddy with a Spanish speaker that will correct your work. Most of the time your buddy will be learning English and you help them with their English. It is online so you can put as much or as little time into it as you want to and it is free.

It will definitely teach you the basics you are looking for.
