No More Beach Vendors????

I read this on Trip Advisor.

I was told by someone that just returned from PV that in Feb there will be no more timeshare salesmen on the beach. (thats the good news)
The bad news is beach vendors will not be allowed, but must have some type of shop.

Chico, do you think you could find out if this is true or not?

I hope the beach vendors will be allowed to stay... They are part of PV.
I think most of us have enjoyed chatting with them.

By the De Cameron the vendors have a shop... Some stay in the shop but most walk in front of the Resort selling their goods..
I have never met a rude beach vendor... a quiet shake of the head is all it takes if one is not interested in buying.

anyway hope this is just rumor... Hi Sylvia. I have never met a rude beach vendor either and I know they are just trying to make a living, but they sure make it difficult to read a book while you´re on the beach! I keep reading the same line over and over while raising my head to say no..........

when I was there in december I heard from one of the timeshare vendors that there would be restictions put on timeshare vendors.did not get any more details. heard nothing about beach vendors.

Maybe the timeshare vendor you spoke with is thinking of the rules they already have regarding where and when OPCs can approach the public...a rule which is rarely if ever enforced of course - as evidenced daily along the Malecon.

Specifically the one about them not being allowed to leave the booths to follow you down the street... :?

Could be that the new mayor has decided it is time to actually start enforcing the rules...? Only time will tell whether all of this is just the usual urban legend or not.
