PUERTO OR CABO?

I have been to Puerto Vallarta many times and want to maybe check out another city in Mexico like Cabo. Has anyone been to Cabo before and how did they like it. what are some things that are different and the same...we have a time share, Villa Del Palmar so theres one in Puerto and one in Cabo....help

Well I guess it depends what you want. Cabo is a some what like going to San Diego. with a bit of Mexican influence but mostly a Yankee atmosphere with most speaking English & almost all prices in dollars rather than pesos. Tons & Tons of US fast food restaurants.
Now having said that Cabo has a truly gorgeous setting. If I was going to Baja Sur I would at least stay over in San Jose del Cabo or even better La Paz a truly Mexican jewel!

if you want to try a different city in Mexico, slip across the area to Mazatlan. that is where Lojo and I got engaged. It is a nice little resort city north of Puerto Vallarta. Some really nice resturants, good resorts (some with golf - El Cid for example), great shrimp for sure. Nice disco called Valentinos with a clear dance floor over the surf. nice beaches... and then there are the pulmanias. they are volkswagen golf carts. ZOOM and off you goooooo ... hang on to your hat too. :) we still prefer Vallarta over Matzalan... but every body has to experience something... that is like we have no desire on Cancun because it is too glitzie for us... been to Play de Carmen and Cozumel, but still now our thing...

Unlike you, we have been to Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo many, many times. This time we are off to PV. We always stayed one week in Cabo to enjoy some night life and action and one week in San Jose to enjoy the quiet, solitude and great Mexican people. We found that the one week in each place definitely complimented each other and we got the best of both worlds.
