My wife and I have successfully avoided the Timeshare guys the last 5 or 6 years, but we are wondering: There are some really good time share resale deals on the net for the hotel that we like, ( about 10% of the original cost) but the hotel is an all inclusive only. If you buy the timeshare, does anyone know how the all inclusive works in a hotel that is only all inclusive with respect to costs.. I assume that the yearly maintenance fees are only for the rent, and do not include the all inclusive portion of the meals and drinks. Do you have a special rate, or are you held hostage to what ever they charge? Will anyone that has goneor is going through this please respond. Thanks.

the cost is based per individual per day. At the GCP, i believe the rate is like $40 per person per day. That is what it cost us to bring a guest onto the property one year. Now it could be different for a person subject to a timeshare deal. As Stew suggested i would contact the resort directly to ask them, or go to RCI or whoever is offering this deal to you, and see if they have any suggestions, or any connections concerning this matter...

Normally you pay the A/I charge at check-in...never included with a timeshare sale.

We have timeshares in an hotel that has optional AI.
The maintenance fees do not cover the AI.
If we wish, we can purchase the AI, for 50%of the normal rate---a sweet deal

You might not be aware that the maintenance fees are not frozen when you buy a timeshare.
In most timeshares the maintenance fees keep increasing , sometimes yearly !
At the hotel with the optional AI. the maintenance fees have increased since we bought, but the AI premium discount has increased so in total we still pay the same ammount.
I wonder if we will reach the time when we get our AI for free ? ROGLMAO
