Things to leave for the great service received

We stop at the watch kiosk in the airport and pick up some funky watches to leave instead of pesos. They have always been a big hit.

I too enjoy bringing small gifts to leave with the tips..
I think we all know that money is the most appreciated but it is nice to add a few personal gifts..
When we purchase beer here in Canada many of the companies give away Tee shirts ..ball caps coolers etc...Many times the clerks toss in extras when they hear I am collecting them for Mexico.. :)
For the maids I have put together items like special soaps..candles and holders and designer perfume samples .. Ladies always appreciate chocolates..

I roast coffee...so you can guess what I left the first day or two on my bed with a note and a couple dollars.

They were all smiles the rest of the trip...and our room was made very very nice eveyr day.
