Just curious as to what you think...Did the Airline make the right decision?

the plane was held up for 15 minutes while they tried to get her off the floor and into her seat. definitely the right decision.

Bunch of troglodites. The AirTrans stewardess should be fired. Only single non/parent people can sympathise with the airline dumbos.

Mogenswhat do you think the appropriate response should have been? how long should the plane have been grounded? how long shouild the other 112 passengers have been inconvenienced?

This is a tough one. I have never had that problem, thankfully. I know that I do not agree with them having to wait 24hrs before they could board another AirTran plane but I guess I do agree with the airline for making them leave the plane since it looked like there was no calming the child down and the other passengers should not have to suffer or be inconvenienced because of it.

110% spot on, Ronald! Too many parents are afraid of their children and too stupid and/or lazy to know how to disipline them. We all must think of the bigger picture, and the biger picture here was the population of that particular airplane. Great decision! Chuck... 8)

I understand Ronalds argument and agree to a point . I still think the Airline overreacted - where is common sense when you need it ? Surely it and compassion were also missing this flight.

I dont know this airline but what if the other ppl on the plane had connecting flights and this plane leaving late could cause them to miss there connection.I would feel like crap causing that with my child. Personnally if it was me (which my children know better) I would not need someone to tell me to get off I would ask and yep I would be mad as heck but what are you gonna do move on catch the next flight and hope you can teach your child that this is not tolerable. I understand the reason there giving about the child having ear surgery,darn rights the child was probally in pain during decent but as parents they made the decision to put her on that plane they need to be held accountable as well.
