The harbor was closed and people were kept off the beaches in PV.
It is not over here in So Cal yet, surges are continuing to occur and they expect them to continue for a few more hours. Our news copters were reporting all morning and showed some amazing local
photos of Ventura harbor and as it moved down the coast from Northern Calif through So. Cal. Three guys in No. Cal. decided to go out and watch it and were swept away, two managed to swim back to shore and one is missing and they are searching for him. Quite a bit of damage done in Santa Cruz, Calif. marina where boats were torn away from their docks and hit each other, sank, capsized, swept into a bridge.
The problem in PV seems to be the boats are not being given much info by the Harbor Master. As I said the surges are continuing to happen here in So. Cal so it is not a one time event and over with.
