Tsunami devastation

Started January 6, 2005 · 10,688 views · 5 posts
I am still in shock about the Tsunami that recently hit, wiping out so many lives and destroying whole towns and generations of families in so short a time. Every time I view the webcam of PV, I wonder if it could happen again - not just in PV but anywhere. When I think of the thousands of people who were enjoying their vacations one minute and looking for loved ones the next...
Well, my thoughts and prayers are with them.

Re:Tsunami devastation
It did happen here in a sense during Hurricane Kenna. 99% of our damage was due to two 30+ foot waves, but because it happend towards the end of the storm, people had cleared out of the area and no was killed.
The waves here went as far back as five blocks behind BlockBuster video and the thrid floor of the Sheraton had water damage. Luckily the waves were not traveling at 500+ miles and hour.
A few days after the SE Asia tsunami, Manzanillo had an 8 foot surge from the Tsunami- amazing how destructive one earth quake could be.
