Re:Airport Taxis to hotels
There is a federal tax for Taxis picking up at the airport, thats why they are so expensive. The best way around this is to:
1) Go acroos the bridge to the other side of the road and pick up a Taxi there. They are cheaper, but will still charge more than the normal rate because they can.
2) Take the bus, its rite our in front of ther airport. Thats what we always do, but its better if you trave lite and please be repectuful of the locals riding the bus.

Just returned from 7 days in Bucerias. We pulled our bags across the foot bridge and only paid $150 pesos to Bucerias. The return trip cost the same.

By foot bridge, do you mean the pedestrian overpass? And what colour was the taxi to Bucerias? Did you have to barter for that price? Thanks, going there soon and have too much luggage for the bus!

Re:Airport Taxis to hotels
The only taxis that were lined up across the highway were yellow cabs. No, did not have bargain for the $150 pesos to Bucerias. When I asked how much to Bucerias, that is what he said. I had been told ahead of time that it would cost around $150 pesos.
