Attitudes?

I am coming to PV for the first time in a couple months and consider myself an \"information junkie\". I am extremely excited about coming to this new place, and started to read this board with much enthusiam. After an hour, I am very concerned with a lot of the attitudes on this board - why are so many people angry, annoyed, defensive and snippy?
Does this reflect on the attitides of the town? I was hoping that I was coming to a fun-loving laid back community....

we are in the same boat as you. i was hoping to get a few questions answered about pv. some people have helped, but i think a lot more could offer an objective opinion or maybe be a little more helpful. i think some just like to get people going. no matter what anyone says the only person who has to enjoy your vacation is you. hope it turns out alright for you.
