BUGS?

Hey guys.....we leave soon and now my wife is worried about bugs.... :lol: yea, i know...but i told her i would ask and if she aint happy, i aint happy...So how are the bugs down there right now? Anyone know?

they are HUGE hairy monsters right now Marcus... they carry away small children to save them for the cooler months... no matter how much Raid you take with you, they keep coming.... and if you believe this... MAN do i have some prize ground to sell you along the way... :evil: :twisted: :roll: :wink: :lol: 8)

you will be fine, their bugs are no different than our bugs... they run when you turn a light on, and that is about it... if you go on the canopy tours take some repellant along with you, and you will be fine....

have a great time... tell the wife not to worry ok.... if she really gets scared, send me a ticket and we will be down to protect her.... :wink: :cry: :lol: 8)

for being right at the jungle, pv is surprisingly light in the bug dept. i would worry more about the jellyfish in the ocean.....

Sitting on the balcony at the Holiday Inn I was bit by a fireant (ouch) . The same night we saw a swarm of locusts fly over . On a earlier trip we saw a fist sized beetle drowning in the pool . We have seen roaches as big as 3 inches . The bugs are there - just your luck if you encounter them . :)

How about bugs in December? I am guessing not so bad due to cooler (a little), much dryer weather. Is my guess correct?

:o Well I would post the pictures if i could! i dont have them on my computer! But when we get back from PV in acouple of weeks, if i have any bug pictures i will definitely post them! :D

everytime I go to PV i go hiking into the jungle with just my shorts a backpack digital camera and a machete I never get bitten (but sure get suntanned) I see lots of crazy critters tho. I leave in 4 days I will take lots of pics and upload em.

Where are the bug pictures?
