Buying Corona by the flat?

Guess I should ask too where the Corona Factory nearest to Old Town.

I know the bottles have a deposito, but I do prefer bottled beer over canned. IMO anyways. I noticed that a lot of glass bottle brands were not returnable for deposit? Has it always been that way?

There is not a Corona factory in PV, the closest one is in Guadalajara.

I believe there is still a Corona warehouse on the highway to the airport, I seriously doubt they deliver.

Be sure to keep your receipt to get your deposit back.

Cases are now 24 bottles, and the bottle receipt is only good for 3 weeks.

Most corner stores also sell chilled cervesa by the case, and will return the bottle deposit. ISTR that the deposit and beer cost is different than La Playa - smaller deposit and higher cost of beer. So buy your bottles at the corner store and refill them at La Playa. The cheapest beer is in a store east of the airport.

We just returned from a vacation in Australia and were surprised to see how popular Corona was there . Big promos in the bars and stores . A bottle cost around $ 4 Aus (same as the other bar beers) and a six pack was selling for around $ 14 (also similar to other brands) . Coronas were served with a lemon wedge - gringo style ! :) Something else surprised us - Fosters beer was virtually non existent :?: Tooheys and VB were the local drinks of choice.
