Currency

Wondering what i should bring for currency (canadian or american). Do most places take Visa, what about interact? Are there machines where i can withdraw using my bank card? thanks for the info.

Hi im from Calgary as well...and what I did is I went down to Pv with 1000 pesos just to get me started so I didnt have to go to the bank with travelers checks right away...there are bank machines that you can use your debit card in, I used it! Bring american money for tipping they LOVE american money! but whatever you do DONT GIVE THEM CANADIAN! Hope you have fun!!!

Watch your credit card many reports of card cloning and theft keep a good eye on it.Pin numbers in Mexico can only use 4 numbers .
The best thing is to change CDN travellers cheques at the airport just outside the time shark booth ( good rate) and then cash trlrs cheques as you need em for pesos .
