current money exchange

Just wondering what kind of exchange anyone has been getting on the canadiian dollar
from someone who has just got back. I heard early it was close to 7.1 at one time. Coming
down in 2 weeks and wondering if i should get some pesos now or just wait til i get there since
i can get them for about 6.6

I am leaving for PV on Sun 23 Feb. Current rate from money exchange in Vancouver is 6.7.
Is it still better in PV?

i read somewhere, it might even be this site, that just in case you may want to exchange about 30 bucks into pesos at home, and the rest of it in Puerto Vallarta

But probably changing at a casa de cambio not quite that much.

I know the consensus was to change Canadian straight to Pesos, so using http://www.x-rates.com/calculator.html, at 10PM EDT
1000 Cdn = 7275.86 MXN and
1000 Cdn = 698.655 US = 7370.81 MXN,

so maybe it is best to check around.

60 pesos is 7 beer plus change at the SIX stores.

If you return your beer bottles for a deposit - take the receipt.

Pete, At my corner store I have never been given a receipt. Maybe you can get one at the SIX though? Never been a problem because they know me & I am returning two empties that I only bought an hour before, and am always changing them in on two fresh ones - LOL.

Rather funny some brand bottles are not returnable.

i hate to rain on everyones parade, but there is such a thing as an economy,the USD exchange rate has been falling, which, although small decreases might not seem like a lot, are when multiplied over a whole vacations amount of money. It hit 11 in the middle of March and has been falling since... so there could be reason to exchange some cash now
