If you are going in from the U.S. that is all you need. Have a great trip.
ID
Word to the wise. You may have a situation where a policeman or another authority may demand ID. If you show a passport & they may seize it until they are satisfied. Take your drivers license using that for ID in that situation. If they keep it no big deal to replace. You will have a terrible time without a passport. Never carry your passport with you as you go about town Keep it in the hotel safe unless you need it to cash travelers checks. In 20 years in Mexico I never carry it unless traveling then I always have a copy!

Hi guys...when I said all you need is your passport I was raefering to entering Mexico and then back to the states, not wearing it around your neck in PV,,,,,It is normal to carry your personal ID at any rate. Some folks make you feel like you are taking a chance to visist Mexico in particular Puerto Vallarta. Be not affraid, if you obey the law and act cival you should have no problem. Yes, anything can happen but that is true no matter whewre you go, you just have to know what you are doing and be on your guard. Happy travels, go forget your worries and enjoy. 8)
