Oh thank you so much, so thats not too hard to calculate :D have any idea how much tip I give eveyday to the maid to keep her happy? :D Want to get there prepared lol :wink:
so 100 pesos would be 1.00$ right? or am I stupid :shock: (my english is not great lol)
Pesos
We tip anywhere between 20 and 50 pesos a day to the maids . !00 pesos = $10 . :) Think of the peso as being close to a US dime.
Add a \"0\" when going from dollars to pesos and drop the \"0\" when going from pesos to dollars. After a day or tow of using the pesos it becomes a lot easier to understand.
I´m sitting in an internet cafe and money exchange cambio right now in beautiful Puerto Vallarta right across from where the cruise ships come in. The exchange for the US dollar is 10.6 pesos for one dollar. The rate for Canadian is 9.20 pesos for one dollar. Pretty good rates right now. As others have said if you buy something with dollars you´ll get your change back at 10/1 or 9/1 for Canadian. Still the dollar goes a long ways down here. Next door I can buy a bottle of beer for walking around for 7 pesos. I love it here!
Chuck...you ARE in hell! :lol:
:D :D hummm january 15th seems sooooo far now lol
yikes! who did you tick off??
Irratic Exchange Rate
While in PV you will discover that each hotel, money exchange stand, and vendor has their own exchange rate. So, if you have the time it pays to shop around for exchange rates!
$ to pesos
Go to oanda.com the day before you go and enter your country currency and Mexican peso and you can print off wallet size cheat sheet to take with you.
Thank you Bruce, that will be VERY helpful :)
