You might enjoy Nuevo Vallarta or Bucerias area. Very nice beaches and much more quiet than downtown Puerto Vallarta.

But.......I would consider the Playa Los Muertos area south of the Rio Cuale in PV fairly \"low key\" with decent beach with plenty of bars/restaurants, many on the beach. You can find all sorts of lodging, from low end to high end, within several blocks of the beach.

Just depends on exactly what you are looking for.......If I were a single woman travelling to PV, and if I wanted to socialize, that is where I would want to be.

definitly downtown...trying to stay at budget acc...65 a nite any suggestions ...close to beach..thanks
nov 9 ...6-7 nites
You can stay anywhere for a good price at that time of year... Try Playa Los Arcos if you are wanting a hotel room.
playa los arcos too expensive
Tropicana??? Cheaper I think....a few other hotels on the strip there as well.....,
check out hotel posada de roger. basic, clean, cheap, near the beach and everything PV has to offer.

what about casa corazon...no one mentions it...but there were some decent reviews on ta...i really want to be on the water...really...
chris it is in the amapas area...at the end...Amapas 326 Puerto Vallarta
from what i see...however i think its too far out ..if i was going with friends ok....i think my friend will be in old town..and the price unless i got a discount not too great...all the ta had were old reviews maybe people are keeping it a secret....lol
You have a bit of time to book. There are a lot of them on the beach. Posada de Roger is cheap and I have heard clean and decent. Definitely no frills though but close to everything. Puerto Vallarta has the most amazing restaurants and tons of them!! I love going out to eat and everything is good. Best food I have had on any vacation by far!
Try Hotel Mar Sol on Fca Rodriguez right by the pier.
